Summer is just around the corner! It's time to enjoey outdoor activities with family and friends but it's not always easy for people with reduced mobility to find accessible activities. It's important to get out and enjoy the fresh air with those you care about. Here are a few things to do this summer in Quebec. 

1. Live the outdoor adventure! 

Just a stone's throw from the metropolitan area, Oka Nationale Park offers free access to hippocampe beach wheelchair. The hippocampe Beach wheelchair facilitates access to the beach, hiking trails and water activities. This equipment is on three wheels with an "X" shaped safety belt. There's a children's play area and picnic tables for all to enjoy! 

This parc also boasts a natural heritage rich in history with its three chapels and four oratories. Oka Nationale park offers wheelchair accessible ready to camp trailers so people with reduced mobility can enjoy a morale boosting getaway.

2. In search of the stars!

At the foot of Mont-Mégantic is the ASTROLab museum with a multimedia room and three exhibition halls. At 1105m above sea level is the observatory with on-site activities. There are also places reserved for people with reduced mobility, making it easier to visit the site. An activity not be missed!

3. Where tranquility meets nature!

Located in the Parc Nationale de la Gaspésie, the Gîte du Mont-Albert is renowned for is cuisine, outdoor activities, accessibility, and hospitality. It offers a wide of activities. For example, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, swimming and sauna.

4. Fishing for your interest!

Take advantage to fine summer weather to go fishing! Spend a superb fishing holiday with like minded friends and family in one of the Quebec's acessible outfitters. Fishing is known for building confidence, learning about yourself, and surpassing yourself. 


5. Experience unforgettable adventure at the zoo!

  Zoos are a lot of fun, and there are many exotic animals you can see without flying. A trip to the zoo will allow you and your family to learn more about wild animals and their habitat. Most zoos in Quebec are wheelchair accessible.
